Ingredients:
For the wings:
2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats)
1 ½ tsp baking powder (for crispiness)
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
6oz Double Barrel Hot Honey BBQ Sauce:
Instructions:
1. Prep the Wings:
Pat the wings dry with paper towels (this helps them get crispier).
In a large bowl, mix the baking powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne (if using), salt, and black pepper.
Toss the wings in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
2. Air Fry the Wings:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to cook in batches if necessary).
Air fry for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Brush with Hot Honey BBQ Sauce.
Increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C) and cook for an additional 5 minutes for extra crispiness.
3. Toss and Serve:
Place the cooked wings in a large bowl. Pour the Hot Honey BBQ Sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce (like ranch or blue cheese) and enjoy!
Pro Tip:
For an extra caramelized finish, place the coated wings back in the air fryer at 400°F for 2-3 minutes. This helps the sauce stick even better!
