Ingredients:
For the Chicken Thighs:
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 lbs)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
6oz Double Barrel BBQ Hot Honey BBQ Sauce:
Instructions:
Preheat the Grill:
Heat your grill to medium-high (about 400–425°F). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
Season the Chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne (if using).
Rub the olive oil over the chicken thighs, then evenly coat them with the spice mixture.
Grill the Chicken:
Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill. Grill for 6–7 minutes until the skin is crisp and golden brown.
Flip and grill for another 6–8 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
Glaze and Finish:
During the last 2–3 minutes of grilling, generously brush the Hot Honey BBQ Sauce over the chicken thighs on both sides. Let the glaze caramelize slightly without burning.
Serve:
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the chicken before serving for extra flavor.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve the Hot Honey grilled chicken thighs with roasted vegetables, cornbread, or a fresh summer salad. They’re also perfect for sliders or paired with creamy coleslaw for a BBQ-style feast!
Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet heat! 🔥🍯
