Ingredients:

For the Chicken Thighs:

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 lbs)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

  • 6oz Double Barrel BBQ Hot Honey BBQ Sauce:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Grill:

    • Heat your grill to medium-high (about 400–425°F). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  2. Season the Chicken:

    • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.

    • In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne (if using).

    • Rub the olive oil over the chicken thighs, then evenly coat them with the spice mixture.

  3. Grill the Chicken:

    • Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill. Grill for 6–7 minutes until the skin is crisp and golden brown.

    • Flip and grill for another 6–8 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.

  4. Glaze and Finish:

    • During the last 2–3 minutes of grilling, generously brush the Hot Honey BBQ Sauce over the chicken thighs on both sides. Let the glaze caramelize slightly without burning.

  5. Serve:

    • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the chicken before serving for extra flavor.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the Hot Honey grilled chicken thighs with roasted vegetables, cornbread, or a fresh summer salad. They’re also perfect for sliders or paired with creamy coleslaw for a BBQ-style feast!

Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet heat! 🔥🍯
