Ingredients

Maple Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce:

  • 8oz

For the Burger:

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)

  • 4 brioche burger buns, toasted

  • 8 slices of crispy cooked bacon

  • 4 leaves of butter lettuce

  • 1 large tomato, sliced

Instructions

1. Make the Burgers:

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat.

  2. Gently form the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

  3. Season both sides of the patties with salt and black pepper.

  4. Grill or pan-sear the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness (adjust for your preference), brush on the sauce after the burgers are seared.

  5. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid or foil to melt.

2. Assemble the Burgers:

  1. Spread a generous amount of the Maple Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

  2. Add a butter lettuce leaf, followed by the cheeseburger patty.

  3. Layer with crispy bacon slices and a slice of tomato.

  4. Spread additional BBQ sauce on the top bun and place it over the burger.

Serving Tip: Serve with sweet potato fries or a simple side salad for a delicious meal!
