Ingredients
Maple Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce:
8oz
For the Burger:
1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
4 brioche burger buns, toasted
8 slices of crispy cooked bacon
4 leaves of butter lettuce
1 large tomato, sliced
Instructions
1. Make the Burgers:
Preheat your grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat.
Gently form the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
Season both sides of the patties with salt and black pepper.
Grill or pan-sear the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness (adjust for your preference), brush on the sauce after the burgers are seared.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid or foil to melt.
2. Assemble the Burgers:
Spread a generous amount of the Maple Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
Add a butter lettuce leaf, followed by the cheeseburger patty.
Layer with crispy bacon slices and a slice of tomato.
Spread additional BBQ sauce on the top bun and place it over the burger.
Serving Tip: Serve with sweet potato fries or a simple side salad for a delicious meal!
