Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3oz Double Barrel BBQ Classic Dry Rub

  • 8oz Maple Bacon Bourbon Glaze:

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings:

    • Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel.

    • In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, add Double Barrel BBQ Classic Dry Rub until evenly coated.

  2. Preheat the Smoker:

    • Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Use a mix of applewood or hickory wood chips for a balanced smoky flavor.

  3. Smoke the Wings:

    • Arrange the wings in a single layer on the smoker rack.

    • Smoke for 1.5 to 2 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), flipping halfway for even cooking.

    • For crispier skin, increase the smoker temperature to 375°F (190°C) for the last 10–15 minutes.

    Glaze the Wings:

    • Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl.

    • Pour the Maple Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.

  4. Serve:

    • Garnish with extra bacon crumbles and a sprinkle of fresh chopped chives (optional).

    • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as is!

Tips:

  • Extra Crispiness: For ultra-crispy skin, finish the wings on a hot grill or broil them for 2–3 minutes after glazing.

  • Batch-Friendly: Double the glaze if you like extra sauce for dipping!

Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and savory flavors!
