Ingredients
For the Wings:
2 lbs chicken wings (drums and flats)
1 tablespoon olive oil
3oz Double Barrel BBQ Classic Dry Rub
8oz Maple Bacon Bourbon Glaze:
Instructions
Prepare the Wings:
Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel.
In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, add Double Barrel BBQ Classic Dry Rub until evenly coated.
Preheat the Smoker:
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Use a mix of applewood or hickory wood chips for a balanced smoky flavor.
Smoke the Wings:
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the smoker rack.
Smoke for 1.5 to 2 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), flipping halfway for even cooking.
For crispier skin, increase the smoker temperature to 375°F (190°C) for the last 10–15 minutes.
Glaze the Wings:
Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl.
Pour the Maple Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.
Serve:
Garnish with extra bacon crumbles and a sprinkle of fresh chopped chives (optional).
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as is!
Tips:
Extra Crispiness: For ultra-crispy skin, finish the wings on a hot grill or broil them for 2–3 minutes after glazing.
Batch-Friendly: Double the glaze if you like extra sauce for dipping!
Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and savory flavors!
