Ingredients:
For the Cauliflower Steaks:
1 large cauliflower head
2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
2oz Double Barrel BBQ Sugar & Spice Dry Rub:
Instructions:
Preheat Oven or Grill:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Prepare the Cauliflower Steaks:
Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem slightly while keeping the core intact.
Cut the cauliflower into 1-inch thick “steaks” (you should get about 2–4 steaks from one large cauliflower head, with some florets breaking off—these can still be roasted).
Coat the Cauliflower:
Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with olive oil.
Generously sprinkle the Sugar & Spice Dry Rub over both sides of the cauliflower, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
Roast or Grill:
Oven: Place the cauliflower steaks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and caramelized.
Grill: Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 5–7 minutes per side, until charred and tender.
Serve:
Transfer the cauliflower steaks to a serving plate and garnish with fresh herbs (optional: chopped cilantro or parsley) and a squeeze of lemon for added brightness.
Serving Ideas:
Serve as a main dish with a side of quinoa or roasted vegetables.
Pair with a cooling yogurt sauce, like a lemon-garlic yogurt drizzle, or a tangy BBQ sauce for added flavor!
Enjoy your flavorful and healthy sugar & spice dry rub cauliflower steak!
