White Truffle Steak Pizza



Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup warm water (110°F)

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Toppings:

  • 6 oz steak (ribeye or strip steak), thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing the steak)

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • ½ cup ricotta cheese (optional for added creaminess)

  • 4oz Double Barrel BBQ White Truffle BBQ Sauce

  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until combined and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.

  3. Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise for 1–2 hours until it doubles in size.

2. Cook the Steak

  1. While the dough rises, heat a cast iron pan over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

  2. Season the steak slices with salt and black pepper.

  3. Sear the steak for 1–2 minutes per side until browned, brush with White Truffle BBQ Sauce. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Assemble the Pizza

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (or set the broiler to high).

  2. Once the dough has risen, stretch or roll it into a 10–12 inch circle to fit your cast iron pan.

  3. Heat the cast iron pan over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Carefully place the dough in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes until the bottom starts to crisp.

  4. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of White Truffle BBQ Sauce over the dough. Spread mozzarella cheese evenly across the top.

  5. Add seared steak slices and small spoonful's of ricotta cheese (if using).

4. Finish in the Oven

  1. Transfer the cast iron pan to the preheated oven or under the broiler for 6–8 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  2. Once out of the oven, drizzle with an additional tablespoon of White Truffle BBQ Sauce for flavor.

5. Garnish and Serve

  1. Top with fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

  2. Slice and serve immediately!
